Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 10th. Downtown Kennewick will celebrate the centennial year of the oldest festival in the Tri-Cities. In the early 1900s, Kennewick was home to the largest Concord grape harvest in the world. Church’s grape juice plant was located here. In celebration of the harvest, Grapefest was born in 1911. Eventually Grapefest became the County Fair. It has had several incarnations over the years.

We would like to celebrate this history and sense of community with everyone by having an event to remember. Already in the works are an amazing line-up of talented entertainers, street performers, a juggling school, the famous Grapestomp (limited to 25 teams), a teddy bear parade, the fun run, bands, arts and craft vendors, a Painted Chair Auction for charity and so much more. It is our hope that you as a member, would pass the word to your civic organizations, clubs, businesses and neighbors. We need volunteers, sponsors, committee members, teams (grapestomp and BBQ), arts and craft vendors just to name a few. If you have ideas or input please let us know. Let’s show everyone what a great place downtown Kennewick is!
