SOCO Creative District Committee Meeting

The SOCO Creative Arts District Committee meets monthly. This committee supports and acts on the mission of the SOCO Creative Arts District, which exists to highlight Downtown Kennewick’s distinctive creative identity and increase its economic vitality by uplifting, encouraging, incubating, promoting, and developing the arts and creative businesses in the Downtown Kennewick community.

The Promotion Committee is responsible for creating a positive image of the Downtown through advertising, retail promotional activities, special events, and a marketing campaign carried out by local volunteers.

The committee meets at Rockabilly Roasting Co at 8:45am

The Economic Vitality Committee helps existing downtown businesses expand and recruits new ones to respond to today's market. This committee also helps convert unused space into productive property and sharpen the competitiveness of business enterprises.

This meeting is held at HDKP’s office at 30 N Benton St. For a meeting invite please email HDKP Staff

The Design Committee focuses on getting the downtown area into top physical shape and capitalizing on its best assets, such as historic buildings and traditional downtown layouts.  This is accomplished by creating an inviting atmosphere through window displays, parking areas, signage, and streetscapes.

The Design Committee meets at the HDKP Office located at 30 N. Benton St at 11am.

The Outreach Committee has the responsibility of building consensus and cooperation among the groups that have an important stake in the downtown area. This includes educating stakeholders regarding the benefits of a revitalized downtown.

We meet on the Second Friday of the month at noon at rotating lunch spots in Downtown Kennewick. Email HDKP Staff for this month’s location.

The HDKP Board will meet on Wednesday, November 6 at 5:30pm.

This is a closed meeting.

Members and interested parties may request an invitation to attend and address the board at a monthly board meeting no less than 10-days prior to the requested meeting date.

Street Festival: 10AM-5PM featuring our Downtown Kennewick Businesses, Local Artists and Small Business Vendors, multiple Food Vendors, and fun-filled booths with our Community Partners.

Safe Street Trick-or-Treat: 3PM-5PM Kennewick Ave. businesses and participating Street Vendors offer a safe solution to traditional Trick-or-Treating.
