Small Business Saturday is an annual shopping tradition dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express in 2010 and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This event supports the local economy and promotes our community.

As a consumer, you’re a key part of helping small businesses thrive. By shopping or dining at small businesses in your community, you’re showing support for the businesses in your neighborhood and in the community, you call your own. Did you know that there are over 130 local small businesses in Downtown Kennewick?

In fact, for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community. It may not seem like much but even when you shop at a small business, not just on Small Business Saturday, you help create a big impact.
